This year, the Cockeysville Optimist Club awarded Cockeysville Volunteer Firefighter Paul Price with the 2008 Firefighter of the Year award. Paul "Shadow" Price joined Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Company in 1955. During his 53 years of service, Paul Price has held many elected offices, including Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief, Chief, Assistant Engineer, Engineer, Board of Directors, Vice President, and President. For the last several years, Paul Price has been a top responder for Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Company. Since his retirement, Paul can be counted on to respond to fire calls and assist with anything that needs to be done at the firehouse. Congratulations Shadow!

Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Company is implementing a new membership freeze until further notice. We will not be accepting new applications at this time. The Ladies Auxiliary meets the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at the Fire Company. We assist the Fire Company by donating money through Fundraisers and helping as needed in their endeavors to service the community. We are always looking for new members and members can receive a $3,500 MD income tax credit for their work. We currently have members serving as Officers in the Baltimore County Volunteer Firemen's Association Ladies Auxiliary and the Maryland State Firemen's Association Ladies Auxiliary. Current fundraisers include Wolfgang Candy and Entertainment Books. If you are interested in supporting our fundraisers or joining us contact Cathie at (410)666-1889.
